World Vision Call-In Day
World Vision is one of those organizations that has proven itself over decades of faithful work for God. It’s a humanitarian, Christian organization with branches around the world. I don’t know of any scandal they’ve been part of and they always rank highly on lists that rank integrity.
So I’m putting y'all to work this next week if you are game for it. World Vision will have a call-in day Monday. If you will click on the link below, they will help you choose which cause you most care about and then you will call Congress to advocate on behalf of one of six pieces of legislation that are pending. The six causes are as follows:
- Ending hunger
- Stopping violence against women and girls
- Saving lives of mothers and children
- Protecting girls’ access to education
- Fighting trafficking
- Reducing violence and fragility globally
As Christians, we have to care for the poor and oppressed of the world. We live in such an affluent nation that we often get absorbed in our own concerns and forget that other people groups are struggling simply to live. Please join me in giving a few moments to helping them this Monday.
